HPNOTIQ Harmonie Makes a Splash in Denver

The HPNOTIQ team was front row center at one of Denver’s largest fashion focused events of the summer held at 24K Lounge. Ladies sipped on Harmonie Splash cocktails while taking in live performances at the Uneek Experience event from Lewis Hensly and guest designers Uneek and ATA.

House DJ Pat Allen kept the party going all night long while Denver’s female socialites went around the audience seeking votes to make it to the final round of the city’s “socially wanted contest.” The winner of the competition received $500 cash and a trip for two to Mexico.

Perfect Harmonie at CoverGirl’s MTV Movie Awards Beauty Bar

This past weekend the HPNOTIQ Harmonie crew set up shop at the gorgeous Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood to ensure the celebs and beauty editors attending the CoverGirl’s MTV Movie Awards Beauty Bar didn’t go thirsty.

As always, serving up our delicious signature cocktails were some eye candy-worthy bartenders only rivaled by the actual candy handily on display and fixing everyone’s sweet tooth cravings.

Celebs and editors alike flocked to our custom Harmonie lounge sipping cocktails and munching on our signature Oreo cheesecake pops (I die) and a veritable fare of purple themed candy. What can we say, we love a theme!

Actress Susie Abromeit, of blockbuster Battle Los Angeles, loved Harmonie so much she couldn’t leave without taking home a shiny bottle of her own. Other celebs that stopped by the lounge included Audrey O’Day, Stephanie Pratt, Demi Lovato, Rumor Willis, Karina Smirnoff, Harry Potter’s very own bad boy, Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and the ever entertaining Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Taylor Armstrong and Lisa Vanderpump who arrived in a flurry of poodles (I’m not kidding), lipgloss and pure chaos.

Celebs were treated to makeovers from celebrity make up artists from CoverGirl including the wonderful Amy Nadine of The Beauty Department  – our new go to beauty site which she just launched with Lauren Conrad. Keep a look out for an exclusive video of Amy’s Girls  Night Out makeup tips right here on the HPNOTIQ blog!

Jasmine Solano, Female Streetwear Ambassador

Our girl Jasmine Solano lets us know we can be sexy without all the fuss:

In this day and age, bandage dresses and 5 inch heels are thrown at us everyday. Being somewhat of a tomboy, I usually feel uncomfortable when I explore the typical magazine get up. Instead I go for balance, as comfort is sexy in my eyes. With that said, I still feel that women can be sexy without all the extra effort and some of my favorite pieces come from streetwear — especially female streetwear brands. Being a DJ and rapper, their clothing represents my balance between masculine & feminine style.

Here are some of pieces that I love:

Ladies We Love: Mindy Kaling Proving Girls Run The World

By now, many of us have probably gotten around to putting our names on the pre-order list for Mindy Kaling’s book, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns), due out in November. For those who haven’t, well, get to it!

Kaling, who most know as the comically needy Kelly Kapoor on NBC’s The Office, seems to have a good grasp on the world — taking it by the funny bone and proving that, as Beyoncé would say, girls run it.

As an actress, Kaling knows a thing or two about delivery but more importantly, she’s also often the one behind the scenes poking fun at herself and how we all (us girls, that is) think.

Nothing is more telling of her willingness to fully embrace our sometimes cray-cray inner-workings than when she puts her pen to paper and luckily for all of us, an excerpt from the highly anticipated book is now available online

From what we’ve seen, the book reads like an adult version of Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret but as if Margaret grew up to have all the right answers after all those prepubescent hardships and, dare we say it, with Mindy as our higher power.

Unlike glamorizing and scandalizing adulthood like a certain book aimed at Kaling’s generation (eh-hem, Sweet Valley Confidential), Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me acts as a guide to not being ashamed of Facebook stalking the cute guy who makes our coffee at Starbucks and also teaches the guys a thing or two about how to get our attention — the right way.

So we’ll go ahead and say it, if everyone was a little more honest about their crazy like Mindy, the world might be a better place. Actually, we totally take that back… maybe a little mystery does us all well.
