After her nude and unretouched debut for Harper’s Bazaar last April, Kim Kardashian returns to the cover of this month’s issue emmulating her idol– Elizabeth Taylor.
Shot by the ever-so-scandalous Terry Richardson, the surprisingly tame covershoot has Kim dolled up in Taylor’s iconic role as Cleopatra. And although Kim always looks wonderful in photos, we’re not sure anyone could ever beat the original.
In the pages of the magazine Kim opens up about her business empire, hit TV shows, and an unstoppable ambition which she credits to her late father, lawyer Robert Kardashian.
“I would absolutely characterize myself as ambitious. [...] My parents raised us saying that at 18, we’d be cut off,” she explains.
We can’t deny that the girl works– amongst all of the fame and recent buzz of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Sunday’s episode will see the debut of Kim’s one-off single, “Turn It Up.”
Produced by The-Dream and featuring none other than Kanye West, the socialite’s musical debut will be featured in a Hype Williams’ directed video.
In addition to paying homage to Elizabeth Taylor’s iconic role as Cleopatra, the sparkling gem in this month’s issue of Bazaar is the interview Kim conducted with her idol. Taylor, who celebrated her 79th birthday on Sunday, recently joined Twitter and Kim showed us her nerdier side by asking the Hollywood legend to follow her on the social media site.
