Come New Year’s Eve, Las Vegas will have a new nightclub to add to its roster, making a home in the famed Cosmopolitan Hotel– and we promise, this isn’t you’re usual nightlife destination. The venerable owner’s of Tao and Lavo bring New York’s famed ultralounge Marquee to the city of sin, but with a twist.
The 63,000 square foot indoor and outdoor venue, boasting a poolside lounge, will be open 18 hours a day. That’s right, not only are we sure Marquee will be crawling with celebs and the city’s hottest VIPs, but the new hotspot will become a measuring stick for those ready to prove their party animal status.
It’ll be quite the party bringing in 2011 at the Cosmopolitan, with DJ Erick Morillo kicking off the grand opening of Marquee on Dec. 31st and continuing with a monthly residency. Jay-Z and Coldplay are also confirmed to be playing an invitation-only concert at the hotel. Those who aren’t lucky enough to be on the guest list will be able to view the show in its entirety on the Cosmopolitan’s 65-foot screen overlooking the strip. A special performance is also set to take place at the pool deck overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard.
Want to be a part of the fun? Well, the Cosmopolitan Hotel is running a sweepstakes currently offering a chance to win airfare and VIP treatment for the New Year’s festivities until November 15th so head on over to enter to win. And be sure to celebrate with a glass of Bubbles ‘N Blue at the strike of midnight, whether you’re in Vegas or not!
