Focusing on the fun and flirty energy of the Spring/Summer line, Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet strayed from traditional runway to bring us a Fashion Week presentation reminiscent of a girls’ night out at Cedar Lake Dance Center.
Guests mingled while models displayed looks full of feathers, sequins, upholstery inspired florals, lace and ruffles against a golden mise-en-scène, complete with a wooden saloon staircase. The last thing this show lacked was femininity.
Performances by a selection of fierce femmes such as Amanda Blank, The Pierces, and a special collaboration between electroviolinist Caitlin Moe and downtown it girl and DJ, Mia Moretti, ensured the night had the essence of a hip yet elegant mixer. Guests included a number of notable faces such as Denise Richards, Nicky Hilton, Tinsley Mortimer, Nina Garcia, Tavi Gevinson, and Mad Men‘s Elisabeth Moss.
Speaking of classic Mad Men glam, Bendet’s collection followed the theme of “timeless travel”, inspired by the 50s, 60s, and 70s with a classic modern twist.
Here at Hpnotiq, we were excited to work with Alice+Olivia on a drink menu with a literal summer punch exuding the playfulness of the collection. The cocktails included Blueberry Kisses, Pom Pom Bubbles, and Punchy Peach Pixie with warm weather flavors like lemonade, white peaches, berries, and hints of elder flower and champagne.
