Cougars are so hot right now. Beautiful, sexy, successful women all over the country are dating significantly younger men (Hello, Demi and Ashton).
Although there have been recent reports that couple are headed towards a split, we can’t blame Demi from trying. There’s plenty of perks to being with a younger man — even if commitment isn’t one of them.
More Energy. Generally, younger guys have more energy and enthusiasm than their older counterparts. That means they’ll usually be happy to try new restaurants or attend late night events as your plus one, they’ll expend energy doing things to impress you, and they won’t necessarily be as quick to complain as older guys might.
Fun in the Sack. With a young man, comes more stamina, and even more excitement in the bedroom. Remember that men reach their sexual peak in their late teens/early twenties, while woman hit their high notes in bed in their thirties.
Less Relationship Baggage. There’s less chance he’ll freak out after six months because he’s worried you could be cheating on him like his last girlfriend did. A younger guy will (hopefully) feel less jaded about relationships because he has not experienced as much heartbreak as an older man has. Younger men still believe in love and believe they can fall in love with you.
Fit Physique. This younger guy will most likely still take care of his body at the gym with his buddies or spend hours training for the upcoming marathon. There’s no beer belly on this stud…yet.
Play Teacher. You can teach him things — in life, love and in bed — as experience has value. There is something sexy about a bit of innocence in a man.
Climbing the Corporate Ladder. They don’t compare their career success to yours the way someone the same age or older might. Younger guys won’t be intimidated if you are more successful than they are. They understand they are in a different place in their career, and you might even motivate them to work harder to achieve the success you have gained in your years climbing to the top of your field.
No Rush to Settle Down. Are you the type of woman who is career focused, financially independent, saving to buy your first Manhattan apartment, and love nights out with your girlfriends? Dating a younger guy fits into your lifestyle, as neither of you are in a hurry to tie the knot, buy a home in the burbs, leave your high powered position or begin having babies. Stay with a younger guy as you take time to be a bit selfish and maybe one day you will both be ready for that move to Connecticut.
